The Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra brought our Sounds Venezuela four-day festival to a close, performing their final concert last night at Royal Festival Hall. Dudamel and his orchestra treated our audiences to Esteban Benzecry’s Rituales Amerindios and Richard Strauss’ An Alpine Symphony. The Southbank Centre’s Sounds Venezuela festival, part of Shell Classic International came to a spectacular end as Opera super star Bryn Terfel performed a roof-raising encore with Dudamel and the orchestra ahead of his four-day festival next week BRYNFEST.
BRYNFEST celebrates the marvellous bass-baritone Bryn Terfel and the culture of Wales. Bryn performs everything from musical theatre to his favrouite arias in a series of concerts from 4 – 7 July.
